The initial interaction began with Mary reaching out through Facebook. The conversation commenced with ordinary pleasantries and seemingly benign questions, attempting to establish a rapport with the target.

Much to soon, the tone shifted noticeably. Mary began to employ emotional tactics, trying to forge a deeper connection. This involved sharing personal stories, showcasing vulnerability, and emphasizing shared experiences and dreams.
