US Federal Court Orders Shutdown of Click4Support and other Bogus Tech Support Websites

Article by SCF. Filed Under: Tech Support Scam

The FTC has managed to get court orders to shut down & freeze assets of  bogus tech support companies run by people of Indian descent, Chetan Bhikhubhai Patel, Niraj Patel and others.

The fake technical support operation is alleged to have defrauded US citizens of $17 Million. The scammers floated several fake websites and used names such as:

Click4Support

iSourceUSA

UBERTECHSUPPORT

Innovazion Inc

Click4Support Tech Services

Spanning Source

The court has restrained the companies from calling consumers to sell their services. It has instructed that the websites of the scammers be shutdown & their telephone numbers disconnected and assets  frozen.

The court order is available at: https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/cases/151113click4supportprelim.pdf
